Employment Exchange Re Registration
The re-registration of employment exchanges in Assam is currently underway now and will continue until August 15, August 2024. Re-registration in employment exchanges is taking place through the Sewa Setu Portal, with two modes of online re-registration available: Aadhaar-based and non-Aadhaar-based re-registration in Employment Exchange.
Re-registration of the Certificate is necessary for the following reasons:
- Profile Update: Registered jobseekers can update their profile in restricted sections/fields.
- Inter-District Transfer: Registered jobseekers can transfer their Employment Exchange from one district to another in Assam.
- Qualification Upgrade/Addition: Jobseekers can upgrade their qualification from the previous level to the highest level of qualification attained.
- Update Employment Status: Registered jobseekers can update their employment status if they are working in the government or private sector.
For Aadhaar Based Re-Registration:
- The applicant must possess an existing valid online registration card.
- The permanent address associated with the Aadhar card must belong to Assam only.
- Applicants who are already employed and seeking better employment have to submit a “No Objection Certificate” issued by the employer. It applies only to central/state government employees.
- After successfully submitting the application form, an Employment Exchange Card will be issued to his/her registered email.
For Non-Aadhaar based Re-Registration:
- The applicant must possess an existing valid registration card.
- Candidates can register in only one Employment Exchange in the state where they are permanent residents within the jurisdiction of the District.
- Applicants who are already employed and seeking better employment have to submit a “No Objection Certificate” issued by the employer. This applies only to central/state government employees.
- After successfully submitting the application form, the candidate will receive an acknowledgment receipt informing them about the stipulated date and time for the physical verification of all original documents.
- The candidate is required to visit the concerned Employment Exchange in person for the verification of all original documents on the stipulated date and time.
- After the physical verification, if the documents and certificates are found to be correct, an Employment Exchange Card will be issued. The applicant will receive an Employment Exchange Card through their email.
Required Documents for Online Registration
Mobile No. and Email ID: Candidates need a valid and active mobile number and email ID to complete the process.
Educational Documents: Candidates have to submit all their pass certificates and mark sheets in a single PDF file. All documents must be scanned and readable.
Age Proof:
- Birth Certificate
- HSLC Admit Card
- School Certificate (Any one of these three documents)
Proof of Residence:
- Aadhaar Card
- Driving License (Self or Parents)
- Copy of Chitha/Jamabandi (Self or Parents)
- Copy of Passport (Self or Parents)
- Certified Copy of Electoral Roll/EPIC (Self or Parents) – Any one document
Caste Certificate:
SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/EWS applicants have to upload a caste certificate.
PWD Certificate: (if applicable)
Non-Creamy Layer Certificate:
OBC/MOBC applicants may upload a Non-Creamy Layer Certificate if applicable.
